Dennis Gabor Talent Support Center

The purpose and activities of the Talent Support Center

The Dennis Gabor Talent Support Center searches and supports a very wide range of talents, especially in the field of IT. The Talent Support Center searches and cares for young talents studying in secondary and higher education, with the help of dedicated mentors, moving across almost the entire range of sciences, arts and public life. The young people are assigned to a mentor active in the given field, who provides specific help (e.g. professional advice, mediation) to develop their talents. To the best of our ability, we provide the personal and material conditions of learning support for students with outstanding abilities within the framework of structured active mentoring.

Activities of Student Workshops

We run Student Workshops, in which the creation and project work play a central role. The workshop leaders are selected from Dennis Gabor University lecturers and former students, as well as teachers from our partner institutions, who welcome their members even during the semester. Workshop members participate in many events and conferences organized by the university and other institutions. They present their creations, the result works of the workshops, hold trainings, enter more and more tenders and achieve success. As a continuation of their results in the workshop, members often prepare a thesis. Several members present their research results at the Students’ Scientific Conference (TDK Conference).

Information about our currently active Student Workshops is available here: Student Workshops

Students’ Scientific Associations activity

The Dennis Gabor University considers Student’s Scientific Association (TDK) to be another extremely important area of talent management. The work of the Student’s Scientific Associations plays a big role in encouraging our talented students to engage in activities of the highest quality. We arouse students' interest in scientific activity, and then involve them in scientific student research work. Authors of TDK theses created from the results of research mainly related to the field of IT are given the opportunity to participate in the Institutional Students’ Scientific Conference. We delegate our successful students to the National Students’ Scientific Conference and other professional conferences.

Our institution cooperates with several industrial partners in the field of scientific research.

Information about Students’ Scientific Association is available here: Students’ Scientific Association

We believe that the emphasis placed on talent management will be even more important in the future, so we are shaping our University's efforts accordingly.
