ABOUT THE STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM (SH) PROGRAMME

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme was launched in 2013 by the Hungarian Government and is administered by the Tempus Public Foundation. Its core mission is to increase the number of international students studying in Hungary and to encourage Hungarian higher education institutions to attract students from around the world.

At present, more than 90 partner countries participate in the programme. From 2024 onwards, private universities have also been able to join, enabling Dennis Gabor University (DGU) to host international students within the framework of the Stipendium Hungaricum Programme.
