The rector of our university participated in the II. Hungarian-Uzbek Rector's Forum
The Hungarian Rector's Conference held a plenary session and the II. Hungarian-Uzbek Rector's Forum on May 19, 2023.
Rector Dr. Gábor Keszthelyi-Szabó represented our institution at the project event RRF-2.1.1-21-2022-00001 "Sectoral modernization of higher education courses" organized by the Hungarian Rectors' Conference. The purpose of the plenary session is to present the activities aimed at transforming the training structure of higher education, including proposals for the renewal of training requirements, in order to facilitate the adaptation of structural changes.
In the first half of the session, the MAB-OH-MRK consortium held a meeting in the framework of the project "Sectoral modernization of higher education courses". After the presentation by the consortium partners, Éva Sándorné Kriszt, president of the MRK Economic Sciences Committee, presented the promising results achieved so far in the field of economic sciences, one of the pilot training areas. The participants of the meeting could then hear a short summary of the characteristics of the ESCO competences and their relation to the results of the project.

At the plenary session, following the welcome of President László Borhy, the new rectors introduced themselves, then Renáta Vanó, Vice President of the Office of Education, shared the characteristics and results of the changed admission system with the participants. Petra Perényi, MRK's international and European secretary, presented MRK's international projects. This was followed by the election of the co-president of the MRK. Béla Merkely, Rector of Semmelweis University, was re-elected for a 2-year term.
After the election, the Plenum of the MRK accepted the 2022 report and the budget plan for 2023. At the end of the meeting, András Holl, Deputy Director of IT at the Library and Information Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, drew the universities' attention to questions and problems related to the publications of higher education institutions.
