The MODIKA (Modern Digital Knowledge Acquisition) project is implemented within the Digital Education Competence Centre. Its aim is to support the digital acquisition of modern knowledge using state-of-the-art methods by developing digital courses, content and curricula for a range of age groups, disciplines and cultures. The project will also pay particular attention to the provision of individual learning pathways according to the needs of the individual. This will be done in a research context combining social science and information technology research methods and traditions.

The methodological renewal of Digital Content Development is the result of the coordinated work of 6 research teams.

  1. Digital Curriculum Development Research Group
  2. Application of MI in Higher Education Research Group
  3. Digital Knowledge Measurement Research Group
  4. Digital - teaching-learning Competence Development Research Group
  5. Intercultural Digital Education Research Group
  6. Digital Curriculum Development Process Management Research Group

The colleagues involved in the research teams are academics and researchers with decades of experience, as well as young professionals with expertise in digital technologies and IT.

The expected outcome of the project is the development of an Integrated Digital Curriculum Development Service, which will integrate the processes and functions of e-learning creation, with a state-of-the-art technical background. This will support the creation of interactive content and the optimisation of processes to meet e-learning 3.0 requirements, supporting both the development of a service available on the market and the development of short-cycle and long-cycle training.
